Amusingly put, Eliza - or it would be if it weren't so scary. I don't know if it applies to all cults, but the use of language to obfuscate (and therefore to eliminate the possibility of criticism as well as to exclude non-believers) is interesting in itself, if only because the neologisms change so quickly. I'd missed negatrois, leptive, &c. If naming imaginary phenomena somehow makes them real, we can only hope that their secret world of infinitely intersecting subdivisions collapses under its own weight...

I just wish more people would take “intersectionality” to its logical conclusion, which is individuality: we are each a unique human being with a unique set of characteristics and experiences. (Even identical twins raised together.) Yes, there are shared experiences that only women have, or only tall people have, or only people from New Zealand, or whatever. But if we could just stop making up unnecessary labels and groupings, I think that would help us all.

Exactly. If there are different "genders" based on individual's preferences and specific ways of expressing themselves, then guess what. There are something like 8 billion genders currently in existence and have been billions more over the history of people's existence!

Yes and I feel like this goes double for all the “new” sexual orientations people are naming (each with their own flag, of course).

Brilliant!! Just wish the indoctrinated could see how ridiculous it all is, especially laid out as you did. I might show bits and pieces of this to my son and then reveal it in its entirety. Maybe then he will start to say "hey wait a minute....."

I've suggested to confused young men that they review old family photos of uncles, grand fathers and great grandfathers, as the male "man face" usually doesn't manifest until a guy is in his 20s. Teen boys often have boyish faces and they see themselves as feminine. I'm helping one such teen boy with these reflections. I also recommend time outside gardening (it's fall bulb planting time!) and an exercise program called Primal Fitness. The mind/body connection is shredded by this cult. Also of course, stop going online and asking strangers on reddit who you are. But I'm sure you know this.

I feel like the indoctrinated would be blind to the satire.

We are in the midst of such misinformation and non-evidence based health information and many other things. We as a people seem to have abdicated any semblance of critical thinking. We seem content to allow ourselves to be fed the data that others have decided is what we should have. All too often we take as face value the accuracy of what we are fed. This is a very dangerous slope to be on, it is not scientific thinking, it is simply accepting the pablum we are being fed!

“We promise to do better and start confusing and sterilizing more nonwhite children”: Isn’t there a video clip of someone saying this but with a phrase like “accessing gender care”?

One of the vulnerable groups are children in foster care. Isn’t there a gender clinic that proudly announces the charity care it provides for such children?

I was applying to be a CASA (court-appointed special advocate for children) until I discovered that I would be required to make recommendations to the court that children be placed in "affirming" environments. This makes me sick and I will have no part in it.

Expand full comment

I would be tempted to get into the CASA system for the express purpose of sabotaging its gender ideology operation from within, e.g., recommending against placing gender nonconforming kids in affirming environments. It might just keep a few future gays and lesbians from being transed.

First I would consult a qualified lawyer to make sure I wasn't assuming excessive amounts of legal and monetary risk.

Terrible. This is how such institutions get hollowed out. Sorry you won't be fighting for those children's right to grow up intact. :-(

Amazing how they made such recommendations a "requirement" rather than something based on professional judgment--no professional judgement allowed!

Well, that would be a real treat.

As it is, children in foster care are said to be at elevated risk of bad outcomes in life.

So of course this is the ideal time to burden the already overloaded and under resourced foster care system with a bonkers ideology and the savage purity culture that comes with it.

And what better way is there to support minors struggling with problems of their own and others' making than by tricking them into believing they were literally born in the wrong body? They'll be far too busy obsessing about they myriad impossible things they need to do to be the person they were meant to be to concern themselves with cisgenderish things like learning self discipline and good values, learning how to learn and building self-esteem.

Above all, remember to listen to children, but only after they've been taught the ABCs of gender in school so they'll tell the activists and trans allies in their immediate circle what they want to hear.

Reading it again I kept trying to place the particular style - then I got it ! It is Newspeak from the dystopian novel '1984' by George Orwell . If you haven't read it , do so .

Eliza I can feel your bitterness! 😭 I imagine you must feel helpless, watching all these craven adults digging themselves deeper and deeper.

On a related note, do you have any plans to cover the upcoming USA vs Skrmetti Supreme Court oral arguments? They’re Dec 4. I’m hopeful the court will uphold the Skrmetti ban, but I also felt a pit in my stomach hearing legal professionals casually saying “the court will set a precedent on whether gender affirming care for minors…” Just hearing people causally accept the term “gender affirming care” was such a red flag. I’ll be so curious to see if any of the justices or lawyers question the term in December. I feel like everything hinges on a basic understanding of how that term is essentially ideological propaganda.

You get better and better, my dear! Does anyone ever talk about the Piaget stages of child development, completely accepted, with an NIH page devoted to sensory motor, pre-operational, concrete operational and formal operational stages? The sensory motor phase, birth to 3 years, is very clear about language development. Early language development, "from earliest memory" as they like to say, doesn't accommodate a memory as complex as "my body is wrong." Earliest memory does stem from this stage though, and many of us have hazy images which we overlaid with a narrative as we grew older. Then these PhD psychologists (I was a psych major for a year, I know their pecadillos) and MD psychiatrists list a memory going back to the patient's 6th year, as if that's earliest memory. I happen to know my earliest memories were from ages 3 and 4, as they are demarcated by the death of my maternal grandmother and my father's recovery from a serious surgery on his stomach. I learned only as an adult that my grandmother died first and my father's operation was after. My child mind got the sequence mixed up. I was corrected by the date of my grandmother's death, noted during a graveside visit in my 50s. Here's my explanation of WPATH's lack of basic understanding of child development:

This whole piece is stunning and brave.

'... identifies as “evidence-based.”' had me chuckling from the start.

Educational too - I'm learning so many new things, perhaps too many... https://gender.fandom.com/wiki/Negatrois

It strikes me that the Gender Religion is nothing if not inclusive. Instead of a hierarchy with popes and cardinals, bishops and priests, telling the people what to think, children can invent neologisms to describe passing fancies like "antiboy" (the gender that isn't girl or anything, just not-a-boy) with accompanying flag design. I identify - as if anyone's interested - as "gender questioning," or, if I'm in a bad mood, "this-whole-gender-bullshit questioning".
