Mia Ashton, Benjamin Boyce, and I talk about medical history, pseudomedical conferences, why you should definitely marry the man who saves you from flying cockroaches, and more.
I offered to appear on Boyce, as a trans widow who's published a memoir, has sworn affidavits from "sexologist" and in person experience with "gender counselors" who were "treating" my then husband. He comments on what I've got to say but claims to have a policy of never hosting ex-wives of cross-sex ideating men on his channel. Any ideas why? We have many observations about the mental health field and the capture, and there's a documentary on us, Behind the Looking Glass (at Lime Soda Films YT channel, trailer now out) which will be released January 2023.
Ute Heggen, author, In the Curated Woods, True Tales from a Grass Widow (Iuniverse)
Have done. His answer was that he doesn't interview trans widows. Some kind of "third party" aspect. My response is that we've had exposure, in most cases, to the cuckoo therapists who try to "educate" us into a "different sexuality," usually involving sex play with equipment. The response when I declined, to my face was that I'm "spunky but traditional." It's an arrogant corner of the field of psychology. I think Boyce should reconsider though.
Loved this show. So much info. You really rock!
Totally fantastic discussion
Excellent discussion, very in-depth. Refreshing.

Me too
Yes, Benjamin definitely needs to present the very important stories of trans widows.
Thanks! He's quite set on the concept that our stories are not humorous or entertaining.
Mine is in a memoir:
In the Curated Woods, True Tales from a Grass Widow, Ute Heggen, Iuniverse, 2022
and at my youtube channel, Ute Heggen (which I think is quite humorous and entertaining, including beautiful butterfly shorts from the garden)
