Beautiful! You have a great eye, Eliza. And I am intrigued by the title of that book and your "illustrations" of it. Will have to seek it out.

Are the sheep painted pink and blue?

Yes and everyone I've shown that picture to says: Trans sheep???? It's to help identify which sheep belongs to which flock.

Apologies -- we went around Galway, Connemara/Kylemore Abbey, the Cliffs of Moher, the Dingle peninsula, Killarney National Park, and Muckross abbey and house.

Wow, those were my "stomping grounds" when I was there. Dingle was one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. Thanks again for sharing!

There’s no place like Ireland.

Ireland never disappoints, though I was sorry about the Air bnb nightmare. I'm really glad you got to see some of the country (some of the best parts) before you had to work.

It's a beautiful country and I'm so glad we had a couple of days free. Feel very lucky.

Hey Eliza, I know you’re interested in the was trans and therapeutic culture intersects. Recently, I’ve heard that mothers who don’t affirm their trans children usually have borderline personality disorder, which I put down to the usual smearing of women like me who won’t play along, then I read that ‘it’s commonly known’ that most mothers who affirm their children have borderline personality disorder. Today I read on an Substack that “all” mothers of trans are Borderline! Apparently there is ‘evidence’ that mother’s of trans identifying children have BPD, regardless of their stance re affirmation. Really??! As the mother of a 19 year old boy now identifying as trans, seems I have BPD no matter what I do. He’s also ‘on the spectrum’ - diagnosed with Asperger’s under DSM IV - so I do see the irony. I’m holding onto one diagnosis above the other for him and refusing a diagnosis of my own. Anyway, it’s an interesting topic and I haven’t heard anyone mention it.

Great photos! I leave for Ireland and a historic tour May 10th. Sorry I'll miss the next book group. I'm traveling with Overseas Adventure Travel and their "Maritime Jewels" boat tour on the West side of the UK for two weeks after a week in Ireland.
