If it's any comfort I chuckled when I saw the post title and laughed when I read your admission.

It's a small world, and we're in line for high trade tarrifs, making our stupid Brexit an even bigger problem. It also encourages the populists here, who are the only ones that haven't insulted Trump and are now frantically backpedaling. Nigel Farage is on great terms with him. The Paris Accord is at risk again, not to mention the global balance of power. But sure, I'm grateful the variety of crazy we have here isn't on the scale of the USA's. If you're there, I'm sorry, it's a real tragedy.

I wonder what this might mean for gender transition and all the other related wokery. On the face of it, it should be good news, but it will probably just deepen the culture wars and give the "oppressed" even more (or possibly now something) to whine, protest, and punch people, about.

Yes, I just read about what a huge boost the last Trump presidency gave to the "woke" movement. A new Trump presidency will fuel victim culture into the stratosphere here, even as it was showing recent signs of subsiding. I have no thoughts left. My mind is blank. I give up.

This seems very much like the political climate. Even knowing everything we know, we can't seem to change the results. We are stuck with the lies and deception - even as we call them out. And the victims of these lies and deception, like the voting public, just go along with whatever the activists like Olson-Kennedy say because, well, they want to think it's all true. My only response: oy vey!
