Why does HRC use male violence to shut down women's peaceful speech, while letting violent men off the hook?
To save lives, you need to understand—not blindly politicize—these people's deaths. In most of these cases, trans-identified people were killed as a consequence of involvement in the sex trade, which is one of the deadliest 'professions' on earth, or were victims of intimate-partner violence, not anti-trans 'hate,” much less gender-critical speech.
So saving lives is less about crusading against 'hate' and more about preventing male violence, helping people exit the sex trade — rather than promoting "sex work is work!"— and providing specialized services for trans people to escape abusive relationships.
Why would organizations that claim to care about trans people run away from real solutions that would actually save lives?
(And another question: Why would organizations that claim to care about trans people attempt to terrify trans people by wildly inflating the risk of homicide and suicide, and telling trans people that anyone who doesn't share their belief system about gender hates them?)
The attempt by ordinary activists and established organizations like Stonewall, Human Rights Campaign, the American Civil Liberties Union, and Mermaids to instill irrational fear looks like nothing so much as phobia indoctrination, a method of controlling—not empowering—vulnerable people.
If these organizations really cared about trans-id people, they wouldn't tell trans people that political disagreement = hate. They wouldn't tell trans-id kids that their options are transition or suicide. Why do these orgs want trans people to feel embattled and fearful?
Women's peaceful speech is not hate and it's not violence. Women's ideological non-compliance with a belief system that seeks to erase our sex is not hate and it's not violence.
Why do trans activists and organizations like Human Rights Campaign use male violence to shut down women's peaceful speech and political organizing, while letting violent men off the hook?
